Type: oil
Dimensions: 16 x 20
The inspiration for this painting was after a 3-day rainstorm and driving through a ranch area on my way to town. All the small puddles were full and reflective and the black cows were coming out from the protective trees to graze on the new tender grass.
This painting is considered a “Tonalism” - setting a mood. I wanted the trees and reflection to be of interest and then the cow - almost unseen - to catch your eye and have you say “Oh Yes, I've been there.”
