I always think of the Cottonwood trees as a symbol of the early pioneers - even though these trees have been on the earth for a long time. They bring joy in the spring with their green - the summer bird habitat and in the fall yellow and orange foliage. A beautiful subject to paint. These trees welcomed one down to a ranch house.
