Welcome to Willo Balfrey Fine Art
Willo Balfrey Fine Art features works from a representational artist specializing in landscapes done in oils and pastels. With more than 18 years as a professional artist and 16 years under Master Pastelist Richard McKinley, I have extensive training in fine art, having won a variety of awards, in addition to features in magazines such as Pastel Journal.
During the summer months, I work "en plein air" (in open air) when the weather allows, bringing field sketches back to the studio for interpretation and future paintings. After a childhood in Durango, Colorado, and now living in Siskiyou County, California, my work is heavily influenced by the grand faces of nature, such as the ambrosial Rockies or Mount Shasta - but I am also inspired by earth’s “smaller” grandiosities - meadows, trees and streams.
I have a gallery of pastels and oils available for sale. Browse my site for more information about my prior works and see what oil paintings and pastels are available for purchase. You can also contact me by email with any questions about my impressionist pastels today!
