California is known for its poppies and thus called "The Golden State". From outer space, one can see the trail of poppies as if someone had dropped a bucket of orange/yellow paint and it ran down the valley's and up the hills. It is a beautiful photo. I was in Santa Barbara this summer when the poppies were just beginning their splendor and I was inspired to paint my feeling of the flow of the color and freedom to just let the color run.
